Sooooo close

This pic seemed to represent us with Nehemiah.... sooooo close...

We received an update from our staff in Vietnam and our birthmothers DNA date has been scheduled for October 31st!!!

After the DNA sample has been collected, the consulate will forward the samples to the lab here in the states and the lab will let us know when they have received the samples. (4-5 days to be sent to US)

The lab will then have the results tested, which can take up to 8-10 business days to complete. Once, they have the results, they will email Dillon to let us know the results and will also send the consulate the original documentation proving the results. (4-5 days to be sent to VN)

Once we know the consulate has received the results we will be waiting on pre-approval to travel. (24 hours- to- hopefully not weeks)

This is such an amazing feeling.

OK...I have chills. This is so exciting. Almost as exciting as waiting for Drew. I can't wait now Natasha. Yay.

We'll be praying for Nehemiah and his birth mother during this process.

Yay!!! It won't be long now!

I'm so glad that they were able to find Nehemiah's birthmother relatively quickly and that you are well on your way. I continue to pray that once the test is complete that everything else will move quickly. Thanks for being such a great friend!! I love the picture!! I can't wait to someday see Avi Joy and Nehemiah in person.

Hugs,
Tracy

Wow. Okay, I'm following your blog very closely now. Our little guy also needs DNA testing. I'm kind of bummed that it takes a month to scheduled it based on your experience? Yikes. But, it looks like the results come back pretty quickly! We're using LabCorp I think...best of luck to you!!
